Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Do you believe that God has a plan for you? This question is central to our series, reminding us of the importance of knowing God’s nature to understand His plan for our lives.
If we don’t know God’s nature, we can’t fully grasp His plans. To enjoy the life He intends for us, we must understand who He is.
Daniel 11:32b
“But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”
Without knowing God, we risk being weak and feeble, unable to fulfill the great things He has planned for us.
Isaiah 9:6 (NET)
“For a child has been born to us, a son has been given to us. He shoulders responsibility and is called: Extraordinary Strategist, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
A strategist is someone skilled in devising plans. While human strategies are limited, God’s strategies are boundless.
Genesis 1:1-3
Before man devised strategies, God revealed Himself as the Extraordinary Strategist. His plans for you are specific, purposeful, and deliberate—never random or circumstantial. There is no mistake with Him.
The Only Wise God
God’s wisdom is unlimited. When we glorify Him for His wisdom and abilities, we align ourselves to enjoy the wisdom of God.
Isaiah 55:8-9
God’s plans far exceed our thoughts or imagination. To experience God’s best, we must seek His mind and trust His perfect timing.
Common Strategies of God in the Lives of Men
- Joseph
- Genesis 37:23-24: Joseph received a God-ordained dream, but Satan attacked the Word spoken over his life.
- Genesis 39:2: Even as a slave, Joseph was prosperous because God was with him. Nothing can stop God’s plan for you because He is the Extraordinary Strategist. Nothing can stop God’s plan for your life.
- God turned Joseph’s mess into a message. No situation is too hopeless for Him to transform for good.
- David
- 1 Samuel 17:45-50: David faced intimidating circumstances, yet he carried God’s presence and overcame Goliath.
- Lack of skill or resources does not limit God. He creates something from nothing. Trust Him to do the extraordinary.
- Gideon
- Judges 7:19-20: Gideon’s army was reduced from 30,000 to 300, yet God—the Extraordinary Strategist—brought victory.

How to Plug into the Extraordinary Strategist
- Ask God for Guidance

- Know His Word
- Psalm 119:11, 105: The Word reveals God’s mind and illuminates your path.
- Submit to His Will
- Romans 12:2: Align yourself with God’s Kingdom and counsel. His will leads to the best outcomes.
- 2 Corinthians 5:7: Walk by faith, not by sight.
- Recognize His Authority
- God holds eternal knowledge and makes no mistakes. Submit everything to Him, acknowledging Him as the Master Strategist.
