Making the Best at All Times

Scripture Focus: Philippians 4:6, Acts 20:32, Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:1–3, Romans 10:8–10

Opening: A Life of Gratitude

We are grateful for every little thing. We thank God for the life we have and for everything He has given us. Praise the Lord.

The Bible says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.”
When we learn to thank God for what we have, we position ourselves for more.

If you have a roof over your head, food to eat, and clothes to wear, you have reason to be grateful. God is faithful. As you sit there today, smiling and looking glorious, remember this truth: God is faithful.

Making the Best All the Time

I want to share a very simple but powerful message God placed in my heart long ago: How to make the best all the time.

This is not just a New Year’s Eve message. God is constant. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. In the Spirit, there is consistency. Every day with God matters.

We are here today because God wants us to be here. Let us make the best of every moment.

Everything You Need Is in God’s Word

There was a time in my life when I struggled deeply and felt anxious about the future. Someone once told me something that changed my life forever:

“Everything you need in life is wrapped up in the Word of God. Go for the Word.”

That truth never left me.

Acts 20:32

Apostle Paul, knowing his time was ending, gave a final charge:

“I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.”

Paul summarised a lifetime of ministry into one instruction: Give yourself completely to the Word.

The Power of Engaging God’s Word

Joshua 1:8

“This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night…”

The Hebrew word for meditate means to mutter, to speak, to vocalise continually. Biblical meditation is not emptying the mind; it is filling your mouth with God’s Word.

The Word must:

  • Be in your mouth
  • Be in your heart
  • Be spoken day and night

When you do this, God says:

  • You will make your way prosperous
  • You will have good success

The Result of Living in the Word

Psalm 1:1–3

The man who delights in the law of the Lord and meditates on it day and night:

  • Is like a tree planted by rivers of water
  • Brings forth fruit in season
  • Never withers
  • Prospers in all he does

When you give yourself to the Word:

  • Circumstances do not control you
  • The economy does not limit you
  • You always bear the right fruit at the right time

There is no greater formula than this.

Speak the Word Continually

The Word of God is meant to be spoken.

  • Read it and speak it
  • Hear it and speak it
  • Believe it and speak it

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
Say it until it becomes your reality.

When the Word is spoken continually, it prevails.

Scripture Builds and Completes You

2 Timothy 3:16–17

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable, able to make the believer complete and fully equipped for every good work.

What you are searching for externally is already available to you through God’s Word.

Faith Works Through the Heart and the Mouth

Romans 10:8–10

The Word is near you:

  • In your heart
  • In your mouth

Faith works when belief in the heart aligns with confession from the mouth.
Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

This is why believers must never stop speaking.

Expect the Supernatural

We live in a world that no longer believes in the supernatural—but as believers, the supernatural is our habitat.

Every miracle in Scripture was recorded to teach us that:

  • God still parts seas
  • God still provides in wildernesses
  • God still heals
  • God still makes the impossible possible

If the miraculous were not real, there would be no point being a Christian.

Expect the supernatural.
What you do not expect rarely happens.

Walk with Spiritual Confidence

Those who know their God are strong and do exploits.

When you apply for a job, go with your qualifications—but also go with your spiritual advantage.

Speak God’s Word over your life until what you say becomes what you see.

Final Instructions for the New Year

  1. Interact with the Word constantly
Read it. Speak it. Keep going—even if you fall asleep while reading. Stay with it.
  2. Expect the supernatural daily
God’s grace can resolve in moments what effort cannot achieve in years.

Closing Prayer and Declarations

As you enter the new year:

  • You are blessed in all things
  • Nothing shall be difficult for you
  • You are kept in all your ways
  • Your household is filled with rejoicing
  • Your health will not fail
  • Your children are preserved
  • Doors open before you
  • Helpers locate you
  • You enjoy the mercy and favour of God

When it is difficult for others, it is easy for you.
When doors are shut for others, yours are open.

Final Declaration

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”

In Jesus’ mighty Name, Amen.
