Introduction
Easter is celebrated in many ways today, but at its heart, it is about one thing: the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The message of Easter is Christ. The message of the Bible is also Christ.
The Bible is the greatest book ever written. It is widely published, very influential, and has lasted through generations. Yet with all it contains, it carries one clear message: Jesus Christ.
The Central Message of the Bible
From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible points to one person, Jesus Christ, and one message, salvation.
Scripture says:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Everything in the Bible leads to this truth.
At times, we focus on many different things in the Bible, but its main purpose is clear:
to show the way of salvation.
The Importance of Salvation
The Bible teaches that salvation is the most important matter in life.
What does it profit a person to gain the whole world and lose their soul?
What truly matters is not achievements, possessions, or status, but salvation.
2 Timothy 3:15 tells us that Scripture makes us wise for salvation.
Salvation is not just important. It is the most important thing on earth.
The Gospel Defined
The message of Christ is clearly explained in Scripture:
- Christ died for our sins
- He was buried
- He rose again on the third day
- All of this happened according to the Scriptures
This is the gospel, the good news that brings salvation.
Why Christ Came
Jesus Christ came for one purpose: to save people from sin.
Matthew 1:21 says:
“You shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
Sin was the problem, and no human effort could solve it:
- The law could not save
- Good works could not justify
- Sacrifices could not remove sin
Only Christ could provide the solution.
The Finished Work of Christ
Jesus carried our sins on the cross and became the perfect sacrifice.
- He who knew no sin became sin for us
- Through Him, we receive righteousness
- Through His death, we receive life
Scripture says:
“The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus.”
Jesus also said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
There is no other way. Christ is the only way.
Receiving Salvation
Salvation is not automatic.
- It is not by birth
- It is not by association
- It is not by religious activity
Each person must respond personally.
Romans 10 explains the response:
- Believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead
- Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord
This is the step that leads to salvation.
A Personal Reflection
Many people know about this message but have not truly received it.
It is possible to be around faith, attend church, and still not experience salvation.
The most important question is:
Have you personally received Christ?
Conclusion
The message of Christ is simple and powerful:
- The greatest book is the Bible
- The greatest person is Jesus Christ
- The greatest message is salvation
If you have received this message, you have taken the most important step in life.
If not, the invitation is still open today.
Salvation brings new life, eternal hope, and a restored relationship with God.
